Shelby Cobra Women’s garment dye cropped tee

Carroll Shelby had a plan so audacious it probably shouldn’t have worked: take a lightweight British roadster body from AC Cars, stuff the biggest American V8 engine he could find into it, and sell the result to the public. The first Cobras used a 260 cubic inch Ford V8. Then a 289. Then, for the legendary 427 variant, an engine so large and so powerful that the car became genuinely dangerous in the wrong hands. With virtually no weight, no aerodynamic downforce, and enough power to overwhelm the tyres at almost any speed, the Cobra was raw in a way that no modern car is permitted to be. It won races at Le Mans, Daytona, and Sebring, and it beat the Ferrari GTO at its own game — which was exactly what Shelby had set out to do. The story of the Cobra is the story of what happens when someone refuses to accept that they can’t win. This tee is for women who understand that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply decide not to lose.

A boxy, oversized-sleeve cropped tee with a soft heavyweight feel and a lived-in character from the very first wear. The garment-dyed finish creates rich, subtle colour variation — every piece its own, just like every Cobra that rolled out of Shelby’s Venice workshop.
